Official Order Cancellation & Rejection Policy
Effective Date: September 2026 | Document ID: WMP-CAN-2026-V1
Applicable to In-Store & Online Orders
Policy Statement
Well Meds Pharma Care Private Limited ("Well Meds," "Company," "we," "our") maintains transparent and operationally rigorous cancellation protocols. Because pharmaceuticals require strict batch tracking, quality control, and clinical pharmacist verification, order cancellations are subject to the procedural terms outlined below.
1. ORDER CANCELLATION BY THE CUSTOMER
- Pre-Dispatch Cancellations (Eligible Window): Customers may cancel an order free of charge only prior to pharmacist packaging or courier dispatch. Once an order is logged as "Dispatched" or "Out for Delivery," customer cancellation is no longer permitted.
- Instant Retail Counter Sales: For physical walk-in store purchases, once the tax invoice has been generated and medication has been handed over the counter, the sale is final and cannot be cancelled.
- How to Cancel: Online or telephonic orders must be cancelled immediately through your user dashboard or by calling our 24x7 helpline with your Order ID.
2. ORDER CANCELLATION BY WELL MEDS (PHARMACIST REJECTION)
In accordance with statutory drug compliance under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, and company safety standards, Well Meds reserves the right to unilaterally reject and cancel orders under the following circumstances:
- Invalid or Incomplete Prescriptions: Prescriptions that are illegible, expired, missing the doctor's registration number, altered, or lacking required dosage instructions will be rejected and cancelled by the licensed pharmacist.
- Prohibited / Schedule X Substances: Any prescription containing restricted Schedule X habit-forming drugs, narcotics, or unlicensed psychotropic substances will be immediately rejected and cancelled.
- Stock or Supply Discontinuation: In the rare event that a branded medicine or certified generic is temporarily unavailable, out of production, or fails pre-dispatch batch quality audits.
- Address / Service Unavailability: Inability to verify customer contact details or delivery locations situated outside accessible logistics zones.
3. Post-Dispatch & Refusal at Doorstep
Medicines that have been dispatched under temperature-controlled packaging or strict clinical handling cannot be cancelled at the doorstep. Unjustified customer refusal to receive a legitimately verified and dispatched medication order will result in forfeiture of logistics/handling costs, and the statutory GST component shall not be refunded.
4. REFUND SETTLEMENT ON CANCELLED ORDERS
When a prepaid order is cancelled either by the customer (within the pre-dispatch window) or by Well Meds (due to pharmacist rejection or stock unavailability):
- Bank Transfer Exclusively: All refunds are credited exclusively to the customer's verified bank account via NEFT, RTGS, or IMPS. No cash refunds or third-party digital credit payouts are permitted.
- GST & Statutory Levies: Where a commercial GST tax invoice has already been generated prior to cancellation, the GST amount billed will be deducted in alignment with company billing regulations. If the order is cancelled prior to invoice generation, the entire transactional amount is refunded.
- Settlement Timeline: Approved refunds for cancelled orders are processed within 5 to 7 business days following confirmation of beneficiary bank account details.
Prescription Re-upload Notice: If your order was cancelled due to prescription defects, you are welcome to submit a fresh, legible prescription from a Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP) without administrative penalty.
